Tioman

Tioman is also on the eastern coast of Malaysia. If you want to get there by the land route, take a bus from the Transnasional Company to Mersing. From there boats are leaving to Tioman, stopping at every beach.
More comfortable is a flight. From KL and Singapore the small airline Berjaya Air is flying for small money to the capital of Tioman, Tekek. Don’t be scared, when the plane is about to land. The Airport is very small and the runway is surrounded by Mountains. Trust the Pilots…;)

Beaches
There are a lot of Beaches to stay. You can only reach them by boat, because there are no Roads on the Island, connecting the Beaches. I stayed at the most northern Beach, Salang. It’s too long ago to recommend a Resort, but check out Salang Sayang.

A pretty nice attraction are the huge monitor lizards, walking around everywhere. They’re not dangerous, but keep the distance.

Things to do
Diving – B&J-Diving was my decision and I didn’t regret it. Very nice divesites, a lot of diversity, one absolute Top-Spot. Sad, that I wasn’t so good with my camera this time.
Snorkeling Trip and Sunbathing-Trip to Pulau Tulai is a must.
A Shopping Trip to Tekek is ok, the Island is toll-free.
